The 78th National Independence Day of Sri Lanka will be celebrated on February 4, 2026, under the theme “Let’s Build Sri Lanka.

Once again, under the guidance of the Most Venerable Dr. Maithipe Vimalasara Thero, the 78th Independence Day celebration was celebrated with great distinction, centered around Parama Dhammachetiya Maha Pirivena.
